Dr. Mick Kling founded of Impact Leadership with a mission to provide impactful business coaching and education to the eye care community. In addition to Impact Leadership, Mick is the founder of Invision Optometry, one of the largest practices in San Diego, and serves as the Practice Management and Transition Advisor for Vision Source, a network of over 3,000 independently owned eye care practices. 

    Mick has gained significant business experience over the last 30 years having purchased multiple practices and has worked with hundreds of colleagues across the country, assisting both Buyers and Sellers in the transition process. He has developed a notable reputation for providing conscientious and impactful practice management advice, an engaging and influential speaking style, and innovative solutions for the most crucial challenges facing practice owners today.

     Mick earned his Doctor of Optometry degree, with honors, from Southern College of Optometry in 1993, and completed a residency in Ocular Disease the following year. He has resided in San Diego for over 30 years, enjoys spending time with his wife Jennifer and sons, Robert and Ryan, and plays guitar in his rock band, Backstage Pass, which frequently performs in the San Diego area.
